To have a glance at the view we’ll climb to mount St. Jelena (3,5km climb 4% average).

Passing through fisherman villages we’ll be reaching a small, old village Brseč. The Road to Brseč is a pure anti stress therapy as we’ll enjoy the beautiful nature with fresh air from the Adriatic sea and pine trees alongside the road.

On the slopes of Mošćenička Draga, we’ll stop for a light lunch at one of the most famous restaurants in the region - Johnson, where you’ll be able to taste fresh sea food with pasta and enjoy a great view.

The return to Opatija can be arranged either by bike or car, depending on your desires. In the evening we’ll visit a small village near Opatija called Volosko which is a synonym for fine gastronomy. The Učka climb starts at Ičići and you should be prepared for a 14.3 km climb with 1064 m elevation and 6.3 % Average Grade. After reaching the top at Poklon we’ll slowly roll over to ”Terra Istria” i.e. Istrian peninsula and enjoy a beautiful view of it’s undulating terrain.

With a safety precaution we’ll ride back, regroup and start to ”work” again. With this next ride we’ll be entering the Heart of Istria. On our way to Motovun, our final destination of the day, we’ll pass the city of Buzet, also called ”Truffle city”. At the end, in order to reach Motovun, we have to climb 3,4 km with a 253 m elevation and 7 % Average Grade with some final 300 m of Pavé just like in the famous Flanders.

After a short break we’ll be guests at what is probably the best Restaurant when it comes to delicious truffle specialties, where we’ll attend a small presentation about the culture of truffles and Istrian cuisine itself. This will be followed by a shuttle ride to Kabola winery where we will enjoy the famous Kabola wines and Istrian prosciutto with home made cheese.

Afterwards, an arranged transfer will take us to the luxury Monte Mulini or Lone Hotel in the picturesque Istrian city of Rovinj. There we will take a short walk through the old town where we’ll enjoy the fresh air and prepare ourselves for some more hedonistic moments- dining at the Wine Vault Restaurant.

The Kukuriku restaurant is one of the most prestigious restaurants and here we will have a taste of Mediterranean cuisine based on seasonal and local ingredients. We’re confident that Mr. Kukurin will have some beautiful stories about food & wine to tell. A superb atmosphere is orderly and expected here.
